The story started in Barrington...
You might ask why we changed the name and location of one of Barrington's favorite watering holes from "Bronco Jack's (our predecessor at 110 East Lake) to something like "Wool Street." Well, the answer is simple- we felt sorry for the little sliver of a street and decided to invest in the world's biggest street sign. You're sitting in a circa-1860's, Chicago flat-roof building that began its transformation to its current state in the spring of 2004. Our goal is simple - to provide a family-friendly neighborhood spot for people to enjoy a good meal or to watch the game. Thanks to all of you for providing overwhelming support for getting the place off the ground. We won't forget it, and we will do our best to exceed your expectations for service and quality in a place where, if Jim and Mark forget your name, Mindi won't!

The story continues in Cary...
Back in February of 2005, the Wool Street opened on its namesake street next to the Metra Station in the heart of downtown Barrington. We wanted to provide a place for family and friends to gather and enjoy some good food and libations in a friendly and familiar atmosphere. Fortunately, things went well and in early 2006 we began the process of opening our second location here on Feinberg Court in Cary. Serving as our own contractors and operators, we hope we have delivered a building, atmosphere and product that you will be proud of. The support we have received from the community over the last couple of years has been overwhelming and our gratitude hopefully will be displayed each and every time we get the pleasure of serving you. Ask us sometime about some of our special memories like how long it took to come up with the name, our elevator pit and the huge amount of money we spent on professional decorating advice. Finally, Mindi will most likely remember your name but if Jim and Mark don’t, just consider yourself one of millions who have shared the same experience.
