Guidelines for Banquet Room Rental
Banquet Room
  • Feel free to bring decorations to customize your event; however, please don't put any pins, tacks, tape or other adhesive materials on the walls, floor, ceiling or doors. Flowers and balloons are a great way to customize the room.
  • Take your decorations and any non-Wool Street items home with you after the event. We are not responsible for anything left in the room after your event.
  • Wool Street is a non-smoking establishment.
  • There are TV's and a sound system in the room. During the planning of your event, you may choose your TV channel or XM music channel. If you have a CD or DVD you would like to play, you must bring it to Wool Street and test it out at least one week before your event. We cannot guarantee that any CD or DVD is compatible with our sound system.
Food & Beverage
  • All food & beverages served in the room must come from Wool Street, except for cakes, which you may purchase and bring for the event. If you notify us during the planning process that you are bringing your own cake, we will provide a cake table with plates, forks, cutting/serving utensils and napkins at no charge.
  • There are minimums for banquets according to the day of the week of the event: Friday and Saturday- $300 minimum for evening parties, $200 - daytime parties; Sunday through Thursday, evening and daytime – $200 minimum.
  • All bar beverages are charged on consumption. Draft & bottle beer, wine by the glass, and liquor by the glass are available. You may designate open bar (all on one check, paid for at end of event by host) or cash bar (each guest pays on own).
  • WE WILL NOT SERVE ALCOHOL TO MINORS. Please alert your guests that our bartenders will card anyone who looks younger than 35 - if that person does not have a proper id, they will not be served alcohol under any circumstances.
Payment & Deposits
  • Deposits are mandatory for all banquet rooms. The amount of the deposit is as follows: Friday and Saturday- $300 for evening events, $200 – for daytime events; Sunday through Thursday, evening and daytime – $200. Some deposits may be higher depending on the scope and potential cost of the event. Rooms are not confirmed until a deposit is made. You may make your deposit by credit card, which is charged within 2 days. Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 4 weeks of the event. If the event is within 4 weeks, the deposit is non-refundable after 72 hours after booking the event. Some deposits may be non-refundable within a different time period, depending on the scope and potential cost of the event. All confirmations and cancellations must be made over the phone or in person with Mindi Green at 630.750.0672.
  • Payment in full is due at the end of the scheduled event. All bills will include 20% gratuity and sales tax. Wool Street accepts cash and all major credit cards. No checks accepted.
  • No separate checks – only one check will be issued to the person designated as the contact. If it is a cash bar, the food will be on one check.
Other
  • Children attending events in the room may visit the Kids' Game Room. In accordance with the Kids' Game Room rules, a parent or adult must be responsible for the child. In the event a parent is not present at the event, the contact person is considered the responsible adult and accepts responsibility for the child or children.
  • For parties with children under 21, there must be one adult for every five children.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. I may want to book the banquet room – where do I start?
First call the banquet coordinator to see if your date is available (Mindi Green – 630.750.0672, leave a message with the date you're interested in). Before we book the room for you, please drop by Wool Street (Barrington or Cary) and see it in person. This ensures that your expectations will be met regarding space and atmosphere. We have several rooms that are great for parties – Mindi will help you figure out which one is right for your event.

2. Where do I find the food options?
All of our banquet packages are here on our website. We have something for every kind of event, from a child's birthday party to a rehearsal dinner to a business function.

3. What if I want to just order off the menu?
If you have 15 or fewer guests at your event (maybe a meeting?), you may order from our regular menu. Minimums and deposits still apply, but this is a convenient option for a smaller group. If you have more than 15 guests, all food must be pre-ordered and listed on a planning sheet. This ensures we give you timely and efficient service during your event.

4. Is there a room charge?
No, there is no charge to rent the room. However, there are food & beverage minimums that you must meet. If your total food and beverage bill does not meet the minimum, you will be charged the minimum.

5. What about tip?
We include 20% gratuity on every bill. You may give more for exceptional service; however, it's not mandatory.

6. Are there any other charges?
Depending on the size and scope of your event, you may choose to have white table covers on the eating tables. The charge for each table is $5. We provide white table covers for all buffet and cake tables at no charge.
